Breaking down your goals into a viable wellness plan can be challenging and needs some planning.
Think about your desires for your health and the positive results you hope to achieve. You may want to reduce stress, lose weight, be more fit, eat better or quit smoking.
Regardless of your long term goal, you will need to create specific, measurable and realistic short term goals as steps forward, towards the desired destination.
Adopting new behaviour patterns in this manner makes the process enjoyable and rewarding.
It also helps achieve and successfully apply lasting lifestyle changes.
Do you find it hard to live up to your wellness goal?
Is it perhaps too restrictive or time-consuming?
If you're struggling with your new resolution, try not to feel bad about it.
Instead of giving up completely, consider turning to a different approach that will allow you to achieve some of what you want to achieve, but in a reasonable, realistic way.
Don't forget, progress, even made in smaller steps than you initially anticipated, is still progress and keeps you moving in the right direction.
